Residence Permit (Titre de séjour)

There are several types of visa depending on your status (student, employee), the person who can advise you on this is your contact at Institut Fresnel.
You will need the following documents :
Your passport
Your visa
“Convention d’accueil” (This document will be sent to you by Fresnel HR. You need it to apply for the visa at a French embassy.)
A certified translation of your Master’s diploma/degree
Proof of residence (an electricity bill or a signed attestation from the person you are living with)
Three photos. If you complete the procedure online, you will need an e-photo. This is a photo taken at a Photomaton booth. With the photo, you will receive a code that you can enter when completing the online residence permit application.
Your work contract
After submitting all the documents on this website, you will receive an SMS inviting you to go to the prefecture. Once your card is ready (usually within 2 to 4 months), you will need to bring a tax stamp (approximately €225), which can be purchased at a tobacco shop or online.
